🌍 Chickpea market: Outlook and world trends.

Chickpeas: After a season of excellent results in strategic areas and with the harvest now complete, we can confirm a successful chickpea campaign. At Agrofin, we sold more than 12,000 tons, reaching 17% of the available supply, after being exported to the most demanding destinations in the world. This reflects our firm commitment to quality and traceability at every stage of the process. We still have some 52-56 oz stock available for early shipment as well as recleaned chickpeas discard for animal feed.

🌽 Popcorn harvest: Mixed yields and quality

Popcorn: The popcorn crop was mixed in yield and quality. Climatic conditions, which the crop has experienced at different stages of growth, have mainly affected the size of the grains. We estimate that the average yield will be around 3,500-4,000 kg/ha, slightly lower than last season. However, we will be monitoring results closely as the harvest progresses

🌱 Bean Planting Progress in Argentina

Beans: The development of the bean sowing season in Argentina is characterized by a pronounced regional diversity. Contrasting with areas where sowing was successfully completed on schedule, with adequate rainfall and optimal initial development, other regions are facing significant delays due to abundant rains that impede sowing work. To date, it is estimated that a considerable percentage of the cultivable area remains to be sown, estimated at 20-30%. The expectation is that these tasks can be completed in the coming weeks, seeking to minimize exposure to possible frost at the end of the production cycle. The evolution of the weather continues to be a determining factor for future crop growth.

🚢 Logistics & Supply Chain Update

Americas: Traffic in the Panama Canal is still complicated, with delays and congestion. Freight rates in the Americas show a slight decrease. As for Central America and the Caribbean, freight rates have been stable, considering medium-high rates since the middle of 2024.

Asian routes: Competitive rates to the Far East and Asia continue until the start of the meat product shipment seasons.

European routes: continue to be stable with the potential for rate increases.
